Game 4 – 7:00 pm - Providence vs. Olympic @ Olympic

Butler is the 6 seed and olympic the 5 due tow olympic's sweep of butler in regular season.....




the second round schedule is still to be determined due to AP exams....many of the players will be taken the Psycology AP exam that begins @ noon and ends at 4 pm the same time the first game is to begin

the conference ran into the same problem last year prompting the higher seeded team in the bracket to host the game @ 7pm.......will they do that again this year? we will have to wait to find out

This is very important to the 4 state playoff seedings... no one has a lock on any seed......all we know is that MP, East, and Prov have berths with South holding the the fourth berth if Any of the four mentioned win the tournament


Possible outcomes
MP wins ..... 1 MP 2 East 3 Prov 4 South
East wins .... 1 East 2 MP 3 Prov 4 South
Prov wins .... 1 MP or East 2 Prov 3 MP or East 4 South
South wins .. 1 MP or East 2 South 3 MP or East 4 Prov
anyone else ..1 MP or East 2 tourney winner 3 MP or East 4 Prov
South eliminated

MP and East are playing for the 1 seed... theteam that advances further gets the nod over the other since tourney games count toward league standings to break ties...It may be possible to see a MP-East III if both drop in the same round of the tourney...........

Hey insider -- If Myers Park and East both lose in the conference tournament semifinals, are you saying there would be a one game playoff for the first seed in the state tournament? If that is the case, then the head-to-head results don't factor in at all. Is that what you're saying?

 

I've been told that the regular season results would prevail in that instance, giving Myers Park the nod.

 

I believe you are right prepster head to head is a possibility, but the ultimate decision will be made by the coaches and AD's. So it is possible there "could" be a playoff between MP and East if both lose in the semis.


As to whom I support, I am a fan of the 15-18 y.o. kids playing their guts out everynight.....
