MECA 8 Tournament

    Anyone know the dates and times for the games for the MECA 8 tournament. I heard they were playing the semifinals and championship on the same day. Why would they do this? Also how is the playoff seeds determined, are they based on confrence records? What is the tie breaker

    The tournament is being played wed and thurs at hopewell.
    1st and 2nd place seed will be determined by a coin toss since HW and CC split in the regular season. the reason it has to be done in 2 days is because not everybody in the conference got their games in last week. so yes, the semi and the championship game will be a double-header because the tournament has to be done on thurs to allow a few down days before the playoffs begin. good luck to everybody!

    Is the same coin flip gonna determine the confrence tournament first two seeds and the state playoff seeds? Or is that seperate

    I belive the seeds on the coin flip is for both the tournment and the playoffs. Good luck to both.

    I would think the coin toss would be used to determine for the tournament, and then if either Hopewell or Central Cabarrus won the conference tournament then that team would get the first seed in states. Anyone know?!?!

    Yes dawgfan, you are right. Hopewell won the toss and 1st place seed.
