    NCBBallFan,

Your right about the power shift; Fuquay can only hope they become a power like Rose. However, they are headed in the right direction.
Fuquay plays Cary Tuesday, Price will be on the mound.

In the ECC 2A, E.Duplin downed E.Carteret 2-0 Monday nite. Makes ED 9-2, and EC 8-2. ED plays Richlands and Swansboro the rest of the week. EC plays Northside and ???? to go.

Richlands could still get in by bumping Croatan if they beat the Cougars tonight and SW Onslow beats Croatan Wed nite.

Sorry I don't have more, try to catch up as the week goes.

Wake Forest Rolesville won the Cap 6 4A tonight in a thriller against rival Millbrook. Sr Josh Harrison hit a 2 out, 2 run triple in the top of the 7th to give WFR a 3-2 lead. in the bottom half, Sr pitcher Jon Emmert(ECU) got out of a 1 out, bases loaded jam with 2 K's to end the game. Millbrook came into the game in 2nd place, 1 game behind WFR for the conference championship, and 1 game ahead of Wakefield for the final playoff spot. With the loss they fall into a tie with Wakefield. I do not know the exact tie breaker system. The 2 teams split with each other in the regular season. Wake Forest has now won 15 out of its last 16.

Honeycutt pitched a great game and got the win. Price, Mangum, and Honeycutt all had homers. Fuquay travels to Green Hope this Thur. for what should be a great atmosphere and hopefully a great game. Green Hope wins their in the playoffs, they lose their out. Who knew it would come down to this to see if Green Hope gets in, but I'm willing to bet that the Fuquay players would like nothing more than to end the season with a win, a win that ends Green Hope's season.

The reason everything comes down to this for Green Hope is because they lost last night to Lee Co. 4-1.

Kinston beat Aycock to gain the top spot in the Eastern Carolina 3A. The score was 2-1 (Noble got the win and Hatcher got the save, Sasser took the loss). Congrats to the Vikings on their Conference Championship.
