did myers park fans have their cow bells? noisemakers are prohibited at volleyball matches (not sure about basketball, etc.)

i enjoy fans who cheer FOR their team. i do not enjoy fans who cheer AGAINST the other team.

many (most???) of these players are NOT going to play beyond high school ... i'm not sure why they need to become accustomed to being verbally assaulted when they play a game.

Dave W I dont know about you or where you've played, but i have been on a college baseball team for a year and everywhere we have gone there hase been class by our opponents fans. we have played at Auburn, Duke, Clemson, UNC, Wake Forest, beating the latter three every time we played them. duke is the only one that any excessive verbal assults came aginst opposing team. except for auburn which i did not travel to every other team i can voulch for the class of the team's fan. theres no verbal assults, cauz thats not baseball. baseball is not what it was when it first was started, players playing for fun, not making enough to live off of. but the fans still love and respect the game. if you dont respect baseball enough to not verbaly assult your opponents then you have no place on the field or in the park. me i love the game for what it is, a chance to have fun in the early spring through the dog days of summer, enjoying every game like its my last. plus i resect my oponent because with baseball you never know when it can turn. i.e a no name college 4 years in devision 1 beating a NO 1 nationally ranked team. Respect the game dont heckel your opponents, thats not the class of baseball.

I've played baseball at Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi st, florida and LSU, numerous other div I schools, cape cod and big league world series. People yell and heckle you. just like I said, if you are going to let that bother you , get out now or shut them up by playing good ball. Dont belive me? ask Applejack or Braves, they will give you the 411.

Mississippi State??....oh, lord, what fond memories:D.

Honestly, I could always "feel" the intensity from some of the fans, but I rarely could hear them...and I certainly didn't pay them any attention...and why would I want to? I couldn't imagine any of them thanking me or saying something nice about my Mother.

I have a son who pitched against the same team that Wangsta is talking about. A few of the fans were cursing him and saying some despicable things to him. I won't repeat them, but they were crude. I was curious if he heard them and asked him about it. He said, " (laughing)..yeah, I heard them..they kept yelling ( it was crude)...I thought it was funny! It kept firing me up)". At that point, I knew he could handle it!

DAVEW THE WORST PLACE TO PLAY AND GET HECKLED MAY HAVE TO BE CLEMSON. DAVIDSON IS NOT A GREAT PLACE EITHER. BUT AT THAT LEVEL YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT. WHAT GETS ME IS WHEN ADULTS ACT THAT WAY TO TEENAGERS. AND WE WONDER WHY THEY ACT THE WAY THEY DO?????

im sure that rob didn't mean to hit white, he is by far one of the classiest kids in the state. as for the fans, get used to it, most fans are like that...in all sports...from most schools. it is not just MP, i know that SM, PHS, MP, BHS, and Vance's fans (in various sports) are ruthless fans. SO dont call out one school bc you are bitter, remember that you need to lose with grace if you ever want to win with class.

:D ...you never know, but I will tell you this. There are quite a few "celebrities" that frequent this Board. Unfortunately, many aren't posting, but I know who they are;)
