Yeah, but the coaches already know and it tends to leak out at Sports banquets

Re: Watauga trying to make things right

I don't even know what the situation was / is BUT....my question is this....why should someone / some team / be applauded for apologizing? If they were wrong or behaved reprehensively they SHOULD apologize. But, should they get accolades for doing the right thing? Why didn't they do the right thing at the NW4A game in the first place?

Don't know the team....don't know the circumstances....just bringing up the issue of players getting a pat for doing what is "right" after they made a decision to do what was "wrong".

OK....I'm ready for the "blast " from everyone.......I for one am a bit weary of the "my bad" now I'll say I'm sorry scenario......not just with this team but "in general". Use discipline, self control and common courtesy....treat people / opponents , etc the way you want to be treated.

    The end.

it is not worth getting upset over...Hollifield(5-2-1(S) had a conference era of 1.15, Paynes(5-1-1(S) was 1.51, Hefners(1-1) was 1.40, Kinnaird(1-0-4(S)...the combined pitching staff era was 1.66, they logged 101 innings, faced 413 batters allowed only 24 earned runs, 28 runs over all and had 131 Ks. this is one of the best pitching staffs in N.C.

Taylorsville Legion had a great practice today with a lot of enthusiasm and eagerness...everyone really worked hard...

come out and support this team on fri. 23d at 7 pm...give these kids your support, right now they really need it...

    Original..:applause:

my understanding is that the coach from Watauga made the statement to the A.C. coaches that Leyshon had been in trouble for fighting at school and "probably" shouldn't have been on the team in the first place...if this is true why was he on the team?

that cheap shot cost 40 ball players a chance at a playoff..

2 kids from ac want to know why they are being punished because they were not involved in it...

What can I say Mr. Braves?

I think it takes character and discipline to do the right thing every day. More than I think it takes "guts" to admit you were wrong. I understand human beings are not perfect and human beings make mistakes . While I certainly believe you should always make a wrong ....right...I just don't think you should get "attaboys" for doing it. When this type of behavior is promoted it gets more "press" than the it deserves and it downplays the efforts of the players who don't screw up and make bonehead decisions. (In my opinion)

See....I'm guilty of promoting this concept by responding to this post and giving the situation my time and effort!

    The end...for real.....

It's the simply politics that has always ruled in the NW4A. AC seems to always get dumped on. Don't worry though guys, you beat South twice and won the Conference tourney so you know in your heart who the best is.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER TROOPS:D
