    Now,now Braves don't get your dander up. I was just afraid that our far off friends and relatives wouldn't understand the nuances and TBR based references of your excellent write up. I will always however personally defer to your excellent writing, second only to the real Fishwrapper himself.

    Fuquay has graduation on Monday. It is clearing up and the radar shows clearing. Hopefully we will get the game in today.

    Fuquay-Varina/J.H. Rose game postponed

    Due to tornado warnings and bad weather, the game has been postponed until Sunday June 1 @ 7 p.m. at the FVHS baseball field.

    Rose 5, Fuquay 2

    Awesome game. Fuquay scored 1 in about the 2nd or 3rd, and added another in about the 5th or 6th. In the top of the 7th, McLaurin (FV) let 2 baserunners on, 1st and 2nd. Honeycutt came in and gave up a run, which was then followed by a grandslam (#23 for Rose). All of a sudden, it is 5-2 Rose in the Top of the 7th. Flye pitched most of the game before givin the ball to Hodges (?) to close it. Heck of a game.

    Great game, hated to see it end that way for Fuquay, but they have a lot to be proud of. McLaurin pitched great, but Rose didn't fold, they fought the whole way and the homer which has been their trademark all year, came through for them again.
    Good luck to Rose, and thank you to the 7 seniors from Fuquay, you guys took the program to new heights.
