    We will see what Concord Post 51 has tonight when they stroll into Veteran's Stadium against Kannapolis... :D

    All joking aside, it should be a great game,,, but I suspect a pitcher's duel if its Benton vs. Ward.

    wufman, i just got the schedule for post 51 but can't make it tonight. please give us the details of the game. should be a good game.

    Concord at Kannapolis legion game tonight....

    Charpirates, If you can't make the game tonight, you can listen by tuning into WEGO-am 1410 on your radio. But yes I will be happy to give you the details tomorrow on here too. I'm expecting a good low-scoring game between 2 good teams. It will be interesting to see if Concord can handle Kann's Zach Ward.

    thanks for the radio tip. i'll check that out. and yes, i expect it to be a good one. more so if benton is on the bump. he did a pretty good job against NW this year.

    Charpirates, Benton is good,,,, Lucas Dalton is good,,,, Patrick Adams is good too,,,,, but so far from what I've seen in just 2 outings, Zach Ward is in another league. You need to check him out this summer if you haven't seen him this year. He's really gotten stronger after just one year in college.

    But yes, Josh Benton is very capable of shutting down good teams, so this game is no gimme for Ktown.

    yes, i dont see anyone touching zach ward in this league. I heard that many scouts have been telling him he shouldnt be pitchin for legion and it wont make him any better pitchin against these teams. They tell him he should be playing in some wooden bat league where he can face college players and stuff like that. but zach says that he wonts to stick around for this year and help ktown win the state.


    I also disagree with yall, not saying that benton isnt a good pitcher, but i just think kannapolis' bats are to strong i think this will sort of be like the rowan game, i think kannapolis will win by 7 or 8 runs. Many people told kannapolis they were gonna have a tough time against patrick adams when they faced rowan, but they ripped him pretty good, i think the same thing with happen tonite against benton

    Zach Ward is very good, named Freshman All-America team for Gardner-Webb. Scouts clocked his fastball at 95 during first Rowan County game.

    Andrew Morgan at South Rowan is also very good. Saw him pitch 2-hitter over 8 innings against Kannapolis. No runners past second base and two three ball counts. Very good. Headed to UNC-Wilmington this fall.
