    It's true -- I just got a report -- Myers Park fell behind early, making several errors in the first three innings. Rob Wilson homered for the Mustangs, but the comeback fell short...

    Better luck tomorrow...

    MP vs Rose

    Just got a report that Myers Park defeated Rose 4 to 1 this afternoon. No other details at this point. They play again at 7pm for the championship.

    Im assuming that Wilson pitched game 2... if he did does that mean Logan Smith will start tonight? Anybody know anything about Rose's number 3?

    The game has been moved form tongith to tommorrow at either 1 or 4, not sure which.

    Per am informed source at the game, the championship will be played at 4:00 PM Sunday. As his cell battery was quickly going away, he gave me a quick recap. Wilson pitched another gem for Myers Park, Rose 1 run on 8 hits, Mustangs 4 runs on 7 hits. He told me earlier that without the errors last night Myers Park should have won the game. So we wait until tomorrow to see what happens. So do they throw their number 3 guys, or do we see a rematch of game 1. If I know Woodard, he is already pleading his case to Deming.

    A special guest pass to the Myers Park End-of-Season Baseball Cookout will be given to every Mustang fan who makes the road trip tomorrow to the state championship final at Five County Stadium in Zebulon!!! Noisemakers not required, but strongly encouraged.

    We have a good ...and VERY LOUD...crowd here already; but, we could benefit from having even more support, given the fact that we're having to play in Greenville Rose's BACKYARD!!

    The final game starts at 4:00 PM.

    Pull up the Carolina Mudcats website for directions to the stadium.

    We beat ourselves last night with defensive miscues...we played like the team we are today...and we're going to GET AFTER IT tomorrow!!!!

    You are not going to believe this Phantom, I was on this side of Greensboro, on my way to Zebulon when I found out the game was cancelled....didn't they realize Braves was on the way?

    Anyway, it will be difficult for me to come tomorrow, but if I do...will you guys have my hat and bell?

    ...and for Ms Fishwrap...I will tell you now, I predicted a HR for Rob Wilson and a victory for today and I am too far to be smacked..hahahahahahaha.

    But I hope you MP folks relax tomorrow because I already told you, you guys are going to win.

    Now, my last question is this...Am I invited to this MP cookout?...because I was the only one in Charlotte that not only predicted MP's success, but posted it time and time again despite the attacks I was under from Prepster, Phantom and others.

    I also have one more strong feeling...if Logan Smith starts tomorrow, he will pitch the game of his life

    Please fire up the Table Boat, pick up your buddy Braves (along with a few thousand additional Charlotte-area baseball fans), and steam eastward!!

    We need ALL of you guys here to help us bring the state championship back!

    Hey, Ashbrook fans...You should be here, too! We've got a shot at TWO state championships from the Charlotte area tomorrow!! Ashbrook plays their second game immediately following ours.

    Myers Park fans will be pulling HARD for them, too!
