Just returned from Myrtle Beach (drove straight from Zebulon) and didn't take my computer!

On behalf of the Greenwave baseball team, many thanks to our friends and supporters on TBR!! You guys were great throughout the season and playoffs. It was a "Cinderella" run for a team dominated by underclassmen, but man, do they have heart! One poster, a couple of weeks ago, said Ashbrook was "lucky to be going to the state finals". They were right. We were lucky to have this group of young men enter the same high school, play on the same team and have the same determination to win, whatever the circumstance. I hope next year they remember how lucky they are!!

As for Myers Park...we were pulling for you guys. The Ashbrook players saw the disappointment on your faces on Sunday evening and they really did "feel for you". It also gave them the determination that they had to win game 2. Thanks to the players and parents at MP who pulled for Ashbrook, too!

And talk about GREEN! Between, MP, Ashbrook and Rose, the guys from East Chapel Hill must have wanted to change uniforms when they walked into Five County Stadium!

Now, on to the summer! Good luck to all and we'll keep up on TBR.

Great reply SPD and congratulations fom everybody at TBR. Everybody knows it takes a little luck toget to the State Championship, but it also takes talent and heart as you said.

The Greenies of Ashbrook had to beat quite a few talented teams, including Tuscola whom many people thought were the best team in the state. You guys showed a lot of character through out the playoffs and were deserving of being named 3A State Champions!!!

Wow...Football and Baseball Champs in the same season. What are you going to do for an encore?

Well, we have Drew Martin on our summer team and every time I see him I rub his head for luck, because those things tend to stay (luck) with great ballplayers.
