I haven't heard the list from any of the Charlotte area conferences. The paper doesn't publish it.

Why doesn't the paper publish it? The public deserved to honor these young men.

Agreed .... but you have to remember ... The Charlotte Observer is a World Class Newspaper in a World Class City ... Most High school sports are beneath them ... The stories have to:

    1. Land in their lap with little effort OR
    2. Involve Chris Leak at Independence Well deserved on his part OR
    3. Involve Basketball, which the powers that be DO like.

Thats b/c Langston Wartz is a idiot, he is incharge of high school sports for the paper. He doesn't even know what sports are goign on besides basketball....Sorry for making personal attacks (Braves), But Langston deserves it!!!!!!!:tool:

I hear ya guys.... the high school baseball coverage this year was AWFUL! Charlotte is full of talented players and teams, yet the Observer continues to do an awful job with coverage.... hopefully next year it will be better, but I am probably being too optimistic. Geez there are so many great tennis and softball and lacrosse games too cover, I just dont think they have time for old crummy baseball.

The sad truth is that those sports deserve a LOT more attention than they get too. The provide coverage of what they consider to be "human interest stories" and the playoffs until the locals are eliminated. They are missing some great play and great players in all of these sports.

The Sadder Truth is that baseball gets even less attention than the other HS sports in the spring.

    Hmmm...interesting comment

Just for everyone's information. Langston was reassigned this year to cover outside Charlotte sports. It "may" be why there was even less baseball coverage.
