A friend of mine lives in Cobb County. This is a Charlotte native who was quite well known during his high school years as a quarterback. His son wanted to play baseball as well as football, so he tried out and made the team at East Cobb. Now understand this is a 10 year old. When football season rolled around and his son started practicing football, the baseball commissioner called Tom and told him his son had to make a choice. He either had to quit football or he would be dropped from the baseball program. Know that his son had not missed 10 minutes of baseball practice because of football, yet he was being told he could not play both. Tom says this is the kind of arrogance you get from this program.

We went down to East Cobb this summer .... another thing you will notice about the East Cobb program is that it no longer attracts the top teams from the region. The competition, except for the ECB teams, particularly from the GA area isn't very good. The ECB teams are good, but not great.

You can definitely find better "bang" for your bucks than by wasting time/effort to travel there.
