well...this is my first post from up here in Chapel Hill and I couldnt think of a more worthy topic to post it on.

Rob Wilson...I know much of what I am about to say has probably already been said and known to all on this forum, but I cant sit back and read about this without sharing my thoughts on this.

First of all, hello Mrs. Wilson.

Secondly, to Rob. It aint the same without you buddy. There is no doubt that we could have used your bat last night in game 2 versus Flye, as well as game 1 against the Fuquay boys. Everybody up here knows that you should be here with us. Im rockin' #11 for you too.

Wilson is the most consistent player that I have ever played with. He is the kind of hitter that every team could use in the middle of their line up, the kind of shortstop who is going to make all of the routine plays and a web gem here and there, as well as a pitcher who is going to compete from the first pitch to the last pitch and give your team a shot to win every night. I have never understood how a guy could perform so well in the best conference in the state and go unnoticed (until finally the conference tourney mvp and regular season mvp). He puts up huge numbers (pretty or not), works his butt of, leads by example, has signed at a Division 1 program, and above all of that is a great guy. You couldn't say a bad thing about the guy in any aspect. Whether he is in the classroom, on the field or in the community, he flat out gets it done.

Rob, it has been a pleasure and an honor to cross the lines with you for the last 6 years. You are one hell of a player (recognized or not) and I would compete with you any day. You are one of the best and if even next year when you're in red and I'm in blue, underneath we'll always be Mustang Green. Its been one heck of a ride man and I wish you the best in everything that you do.

Our days between the lines together are not over yet.

And Mrs. Wilson...thank you very much for the Mustang Cookies.

Up and In, that has to rate as one of the best posts (if not the best) that I have read on this board. The interesting thing is, you could cut and paste all those things you said about Rob to yourself. Everybody that knows you or knows of you through this board will atest to that.

PS: I finally got to see you pitch Thrusday night and I must say that you're everything as a pitcher that you are as a young man. I'm only sorry I didn't get to shake your hand after the game, but I had to leave early. Maybe another time. Congrats on a great senior season and good luck at UNC.

    Woody,
I'll speak for Rob since he's out of town this weekend...thanks so much for every word of your post...spoken like a true teamate. You do #11 proud. Have a great time, say hey for Rob and strike a few out while you're at it...just watch that bolo(my personal favorite). We're proud of you being there and know you represent Myers Park and the SW4A like a champ. Like you said, Boshamer's your home now, but deep down, we'll always be green. Glad to have come through the Park with you.
