I guess I'll add a little. Tyler Collins got things started for Charlotte in the second with a 2-run homer. He also started on the hill and in the first three innings did not allow a base runner. Charlotte would add another to make the score 3-0. In the forth however, Pineville got two runners on base for Logan Smith who hit a 3-run homer to tie the game. Charlotte would take the lead again in the 6th 4-3. However, in the bottom of the sixth Brett Robinson hit a single that scored to to put Pineville on top for good. Pineville added another one late to make it 6-4, and after 6 innings of work Rex Elliot gave the ball to Zach Fulgenitti, who retired 9 in a row, including 7 on K's. Good game by both teams. Tomorrow night at Myers Park, then Friday at Butler.

    Kannapolis 4

South scores 4 in the bottom of the 9th to pull out win.Two Kannapolis errors hurt.Controversial play with two out in the ninth kept rally going.Pop up to 1st baseman right on the line in front of the bag is dropped as the runner(Corby) and 1st baseman all but collide. No interference is called as tying run scored from third on the play.Winning run scores on a wild pitch.

South Rowan leads 2-0 in the best of seven series.

    Caldwell/Cherryville was 12-7.

Does Cherryville come back with Chris Mason in game 5 or do they take their chances and bring him back later? Its a wild gamble either way.

    Caldwell leads 3-1.

    HR: Rickard(9), Adamski(3), Robertson(3)

Great effort by ER. They never quit and Burlington's bullpen just couldn't get it done. ER leads best of seven series 1-0.

Game 2 @ Burlington tonight. Probable starters:

    ER - Hicks (6-0)
    Burlington - Booker (7-1)
