Question? Thought you had to play on the teams roster that you played on in the ASA state.

ASA STATE CARRIED NO BERTH TO THE NATIONALS, NC WAS NOT GIVEN A BERTH TO THE ASA NATIONALS. THE CARDINALS QUALIFIED BY WINNING REGION 4 WHICH ONLY GAVE OUT 2 BERTHS TO THE NATIONALS. EACH TEAM IS ALLOWED TO PICK-UP AT LEAST 2 PLAYERS FROM A ASA SANCTIONED TEAM. THE REASON NC CARRIES NO BERTH IS WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TEAMS REGISTERED WITH THE ASA.

The two frenzy girls were Devon Williams and Blair. And actually, if you go to any of the websites that posted info on the Nationals, The Cardinals placed 9th. Three teams bowed out of the tournament in the same round. These three teams were slotted without any head to head, etc. consideration. Hence they fill the slots finishing through 12th, three teams tying 9th place. It's quirky, but any of you who play softball understand how they place you in order of finish after 4th or 5th place. After that point, teams begin to share the order of finish. Great accomplishment for the girls. Go Cardinals!
