Burns and South Point went up against one another first. They scrimmaged each other for one hour before teams rotated to other opponents. Out of respect for you Cleveland Countians, I can only say that the Burns coaches and fans seemed to be extremely impressed at how the entire scrimmage, offense and defense, was TOTALLY DOMINATED.....by South Point.

Crest dominated Carver tonight in their scrimmage.

The AL Brown QB is a great athlete and is going to be a playmaker. He'll just need the guys around him to step. Freedom will be solid once again. Maybe not the best Freedom team there has been but solid. Carver was hit with a big shot of reality. They picked up like a total of 13 yards in 16 plays vs Crest. The Charger D looked awesome. A team that can't throw the ball will have a hard time handling the Crest Defense. The DE's are fast and Brandon Spikes is a beast at middle LB'er. Watch for Chris Williamson to have a big year at LB'er for the Chargers. The Crest offense was very conservative which is what you would expect at a scrim. They did a good job of giving both new QB's confidence. Speaking of which, both played well tonight. Good job by Crest in their first scrim.

Both teams put it to Kannapolis last year, but I give S. Point the the edge in a real match-up this season.
