Just a quick post here on Sunday morning by a former NC student athlete out to help current High School student athletes gain the opportunity to play sports and help develop their skills at the next level. I work for a college prospecting service that tries to help give the student athlete the opportunity to play football (or another sport) at the collegiate level.

The only reason I work for this company, West Coast Winners (I know the name is deceiving, but we help student athletes all over the US), is because it is a service I wish I knew about when I was in high school that could have helped me achieve my personal goal of playing soccer here on the east coast. I was a standout athlete but not being recruited by any colleges, large or small.

Our goal is to help the athlete get their information, both athletic and academic, in front of the head coaches at colleges and universities in the region of the country they want to attend school. We get that information in front of every coach at the Div. 1, Div. 2, Div. 3 and NAIA levels of the particular sport that you want to play in that region, thus increasing your exposure and chances of being contacted or recruited.

To assist the student-athlete in their aspiration to play sports in college, we provide the following services for each participating athlete:

*A personal profile with detailed information about his/her athletic and academic achievements.
*Direct mailing of all information to the head college coaches
    *One-on-one guidance through recruiting process
*Services packages customized to his/her desired geographical location.
    *Clearinghouse enrollment
*Student handbook with guidelines of recruiting procedures

Sorry to run so long on this post but I just wanted to get the word out there to try and help. I am not a salesman so I hope I made a little sense of this and the opportunity that is out there.

If you would like more information, or to set up a time to speak in a bit more detail and length about how I can help, please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Welcome to the forum....................but you Failed to mention the COST $$$$$$$$! We hope you realize that you arent the First recuriting service to offer their services to our student/athletes.
All services that you listed are free and can be done by the athlete/parent with some time and effort and very little cost to them

Thanks for the welcome CFBall!..I look forward to many posts and discussions on this board with everyone!

I understand that everything we offer can be done by the athlete/parent, and that is actually what I let them know when I speak to them. What we have done is take all the leg work out for an athlete or parent who does not want to invest the time to seek out and contact all the D1, D2, D3 and NAIA coaches of the sport that the athlete would like to play in college. You would not believe how many people either just dont have the time or even want to take the time to do that research, so we have done that for them. We register them with clearinghouse and keep track on how that athlete is doing. Being a former NC student athlete myself, I do take pride in trying to help these student athletes gain exposure in getting a scholarship or just playing sports at the next level.

As for the costs, I can tell you that we are much cheaper then any other prospecting service that I have know. Our cost is catered to helping the athlete get the opportunity to play college athletics, which is our most important goal. I would rather not post the costs up here, but would be more then happy to speak with anyone about them if they wish to contact me. Thanks again for the welcome!

Not sure about this service, but I used a college prospect service for baseball and it was worth the money (although it was my parents at the time who paid). I signed up for a region with NC in it and my info went to about 250 coaches which generated interest. Other then division 1, many schools dont have a recruiting budget so it was good way to get my stats to other schools that would not have known about me. This is obviously a service for those athletes not being heavily recruited and who just want to play in college. While I didnt personally play ball in college it did give me the opportunity to if I wanted to, or at least be looked at.

I think I paid about $400 for a region. If the costs for this service are the same, anyone interested should definitely take a look at it.

The services, like this one are common now and you will find most are 3 times that amount, Budman. And thats just the basic service. I have been approached over the years and others still contact me to get players signed on......... no recommendation from me, we just advise the athlete and parent to get started early and get the word out themselves. But if they are lazy and have a thousand or two to burn.......Sign up and report back to us!
