TBR Charity Event--(Saturday 8/23)

Somehow?...I mentioned this to Braves and he was highly insulted....he's shooting for 10 @ $5 a clip

Listen, we want everybody to be there...CC, Up and In, rc, NC, NC-dad, Mudcat, SouthLoop, Splity, sugarjet, DB, "O", Gambit, Bulldogbound and EVERYONE with their families as well

Let's have fun and remember...this is for Christian...except for the cost of the t-shirts, all monies will be donated to his family..C'mon guys, get behind this effort and show how TBR cares

 

TBR Charity Event--tomorrow

I would like to invite everybody to this event at Waddell HS in Charlotte, Saturday @ 2:00.

As most of you know, Christian McClendon, is a 13 yo child that had a stroke. He is close friends with our own NCBaseballfan ( his wife is Christian's godmother) and the McClendon's are going through an understandably tough time financially and emotionally.

We are having a great participation from people on the Board through their donations ( one member is offering club seat tickets to the Panther's game including front parking space ) and monies.

I would like everybody to come out so I, NC, Braves and RC can meet everyone. Please bring your kids if they are available.

It's a Homerun Derby @ Waddell @ 2:00 tomorrow...anybody and everybody can participate

Please everybody attend who can..it's for a great cause!!!!!!

Besides I want to see NC and RC try to hit a HR

 

Great news about Christian ......

He went (successfully) through surgery yesterday to close the burr holes they drilled for the swelling on the brain.

Right now, he is scheduled to come home before LABOR DAY !!!!

They originally thought he would be in the Rehab hospital for 2 years, but is making remarkable progress.

 

Chief has his clock broken ... yep ... it's Saturday....

 

Hey everyone .... It's time for the TBR baseball board report of the HR Derby action.......

We had a pretty good showing out there yesterday... I wish I could say that the action was fast and furious with balls flying out everywhere BUT ......... There were quite a few hit out.

Wossa blew out his knee. Following a swing, he collapsed and his knee-cap was on the side of his knee. When he straightened it, it popped back into place.

Captian Morgan figured we raised about 1000.00 approx out there. (Additional donations are always appreciated). Braves knocked one out, but I just showed my "warning track power"...... I'm attributing it to the fact that:

1) I HAVE no knees.
2) I was the oldest one out there (another sad truth).
