    Cherryville leading 11- 1 going to the last of the 5th inning. Mason on the mound.

    Looks like on to the championship game tomorrow!

    Cherryville indeed off to national title game. Final score over Oregon was 14-1. Mason strikes out 15 in 6 innings. Cherryville hits 7 home runs. Good luck tomorrow guys!!

    The paper says Jay Heafner may not be available for tonights game after leaving last night in the fourth inning with a dislocated toe. Jay is usually the catalyst for the Cherryville offense. Here's hoping he will be ready to go for the National Title.

    Mason has six innings left, but threw a lot of pitches last night.

    8:00 EST. Only on the Gaston, Lincoln county radio stations, which will not reach the Charlotte area. I think they have an internet broadcast, but I don't know their website. I don't believe it is on TV. The American Legion national website has a
    live game play by play .

    Hate that Mason had to pitch 6 innings and over 100 pitches especially with the big lead.Hope this does not come back to haunt them tonight.
