    deserves his own thread.

Last night he put up 283 yards on 27 carries and one touchdown.

Put that with his 201 yards and 3 TDs last week and he is off to an awesome start. If Ragsdale can make a deep playoff run he is looking at a 3,000 yard season. He's averaging over 13 yards a carry right now.

Here's to a long and healthy season for the best high school running back in the state.

wossa, isn't he the son of former Andrews High School and East Carolina running back Tony Baker? If so, Toney's got a great pedigree of speedy genes.

yeah HP that's his dad. I talked to him for a long time at a game last year. He's a nice guy and has his son thinking right. He is just as much in awe at how good he is as the rest of us.

Baker is a great player! Last year in the second round of the playoffs he was held to I believe his smallest running game night of the season, however you could tell he had lots of potential. I hope he does well this season, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the future! Sometime this season we will have to play Ragsdale in some sport, we always meet up somehow. I can only pray that this year the outcome of that second roung game could be the same!

Where is Ragsdale located? What is the all-time single season record- looks like he is def. of pace for it.

Ragsdale is in Jamestown which is a small town right between Greensboro and High Point.

the season yardage record is :

    3,456 - Montrell Coley (Goldsboro), 1996

I don't think Baker can get that unless the Tigers go all the way to the state title game. He won't put up those kinds of numbers every week as the competition in the conference and the playoffs will get tougher.

But let there be no doubt he is the best of the best right now
