thats a very good team. i have played against a lot of those guys. lee keith is one of the most underrated hitters in the state in my opinion. steven newton is a good catcher. how are they doing this fall?

Sorry, but I have not seen Joe Cutler pitch, but I have read alot about him, as far as Bryant White goes, he has greatly improved and I expect him to have a good year this spring. Jeremy Thompson at Webb does an outstanding job!!

I am sure I missed some, I only list those I have personally seen, White's omission was inadvertantly done. Sorry!

Heard about TBR on the High School Baseball Web site message Board. So far, I have enjoyed reading the various posts to TBR. I don't believe Ken Shuey's team has an offical name--they play in the Greater Raleigh Fall League with 3 or 4 other teams from around Raleigh. These teams apparently play each other and then they also play teams from out of that area I believe.

Coach Shuey's team is Wakefield. The other teams in the GRFBL are Durham (Warren Joyner), East Wake (Ricky Keith), Clayton (??), and Sanford (Dave Walton). Typically on Saturdays all the teams play at one site (often a college - NC Wesleyan, Mt Olive, Methodist) so that it is easy for college coaches to see a lot of players. On Sundays they play each other at one of the high schools. Some weekends they play other teams, and then in October they consolidate down to two showcase teams that play teams from outside the area a couple additional weekends.
The league attracts the best players from roughly 30-40 miles around Raleigh-Durham-Cary-Chapel Hill.
