    Hickory 40 Alexander Central 14

    Hickory gives up a 99-yard touchdown return on the game's opening kickoff to fall behind 7-0 in the first minute. This was the first time all season that the young Tornadoes had trailed an opponent. Sloppy game for the home team but hard to argue with 40-14... Not in OUR HOUSE!:nono:

    This Tornado fan is a little damp from the weather, but pleased at the way Hickory stuffed the Cougars tonight! The Cougars came into the game knowing that they were not as good as the Tornadoes - but figured they were tougher than the Tornadoes...that was their mistake! Fullback Paul "Thunder" Martin scored 3 touchdowns tonight, including a 78-yarder. Ryan Succup booted a 38-yard FG. Junior fullback Kevin Odom pounded his way into the end zone from a yard out to cap the scoring. The defense was stunning people, boy! The Cougars are poppin' aspirins like M&Ms after the physical beating they took tonight.
