After North completed a perfect regular season in the 4A Metro conference and losing Gib Hobson and several other seniors, whats the predictions of the Metro 4A? With East Forsyth coming off 2nd in the conference and winning the conference tournament and going 2 rounds deep in the playoffs and losing only one pitcher and ace pitcher, Ryan Basham back and throwing hardertheir chance look good as well as the Page Pirates who pretty much lost no one and finished 3rd in the conference with a 2nd place finish in the conference tournament. I think that the conference will come down to Page and East (all 3 games between Page and East last year were one run extra inning ball games....promising games this year)with North and Northwest competing for the 3rd playoff spot this year.....Just wondering what you guys think!

East will be the early favorite with returning seniors CF Kevin Mattison, C Drew Dull, P Adam Collins along with Basham. Juniors Andrew Flynt 3rd and Brandon Lawson 2nd
are also players who started all last season. With veteran coaches Steve Pegram and Allen Plaster
at the helm 2004 should be another big year for the Eagles!

NW Guilford and Page will give East Forsyth a run by the time conference play rolls around.

Page will be led by senior LHP Adam Daufelt.

NW Guilford will be led by senior ss Matt Gaskiand and 1b Casey Johnson.
Stud junior catcher Houston Summers will be one to watch.
He threw a 1.89 at Blue Grey at Wake!

MT Tabor will be led by senoir 6'4 Chris Kahler 1b/of

Someone will have to help with Grimsley. I know senior c/p/3b Eric Hovis will be ready for 2004!

North Forsyth lost alot of players. They will return starters senior of DJ Mitchell-soph of/lhp Addison Johnson and a few others. They
will have to get alot from their underclassmen.

Steven Wilson and Jason Rook are tough pitchers at WG. Kyle Warren is a stud over at W Alamance, and there are a couple of good players at E Guilford. NC-Dad, you sound like you know a lot about the Metro, how did a middle school coach get hired at NW? was there not many applicants? The reason I ask is that a lot of WG kids play with NW guys and they have a good program, I want to know how that happened.
