There is a local player that has committed with Gardner-Webb University. I will let them announce when they are ready, but GWU is getting a player with great knowledge or the game, and great power with the bat and at his position. He also is a great kid with a super family! He will fit in well with the Bulldog family!

Congrats to Jay McConnell from East Gaston on committing to Gardner-Webb. The Bulldogs are lucky to get him!

Someone mentioned earlier that Elon should move up to I-A. They are in I-A, hense how they went to a regional two years ago. The only sport they are not is in football.

Congrats to Jesse Lewter from Wakefield on his commitment to Elon! The Phoenix add a LHP to the 3 RHPs and 1 OF that have already committed from NC! Go Elon!

Son again. I have faced all of these guys going to Elon over the years past and wow are they good. They can blow it right by you and when you start cheating they pull out the hammer. They all battle and compete like there is no tomorrow. I wish all of them the best of luck and hope they take it easy on me for the next 4 years.

Wes McCall made his verbal commitment to UNC-Greensboro.

Wes joins a staff that includes, Lucas Dalton, Chris Mason, Ryan Falcon and Nick Starnes. He will also be given the opportunity to use his bat and glove as a two-way player at first base.
