    Chris Johnson, A LHP from South Johnston High School was in an automobile accident last week and broke his back. He has signed with UNCW. For those of you who do not know this young man, he is a great person and a great ball player. He is at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. If any of you wish to send him a card, Wake Medical Center's address is 3000 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh NC 27610. Chris's room number is 5B32.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to Chris for a speedy recovery

    What terrible news...of course, my heart and prayers go out to Chris and his family...this is just terrible!

    I can personally relate this young man's outstanding character as I had the privilege of coaching him this summer for Region 3 in the State Games. He has excellent abilities, and character and is a heckuva person. If there's anything I can do for him I will, just let me know.
