Australian Baseball Christmas

    We don't always hear alot about Northwest NC players. LHP Wes Cogdill(04 Wilkes Central) will be leaving next week to spend Christmas in Australia with Area Code Baseball. Wes will play for the Brewers Team that is coached by Charlie Aliano-Brewers Scout. The team will play in cities of Adelaide and Perth for a total of 2 wks. Delmon Young is traveling with the team and is a coach for another Area Code team. This should be an exciting opportunity for Wes who has signed with Gardner Webb!

    Congratulation Wes! What a great opportunity for a fine young man and baseball player. I know you are excited to not only play on one of the Area Code Teams but to play half-way around the world and see places that others just dream of! Good-luck! I know you will represent not only yourself and family well, but North Carolina!
