Wow I thought our school had the rights to that club. Guess we're not that special. Maybe our coaches are human like everyone else. Thanks AC (i have an axe to grind) coach a load has been lifted. Our school just like yours does have humanbeings in them. Maybe your punishment should be your school telling you the truth why you don't get to coach the sport you want. The truth will probably hurt more than the carpet.

Well, I am a concerned parent from Alexander County. This all is news to me. I was told that there was something on this forum about this, so I decided to check it out.

Let me start by saying that Mr. Bolick undoubtably has a problem and I hope that he gets help. Alot of times this is something that a person needs alot of help with to fix. So he will need lots of support from his family and others.

It is sad that this has happened to, not only our High School, but our school system as a whole. Alexander had a fine Softball coach, and a few skeming others chose to run him off. He always had a superior team, he built the new softball facility, he worked endless hours to accomplish these task. He ate, slept and breathed Alexander Softball. I always saw in the paper where girls were getting scholarships to go play at the college level, I bet those that ran him off, didn't think of the scholarships that our future kids would be missing. You know that coach Sherrill will take all of those contacts to Central Cabarrus with him. Things like that are going to really hurt some chances for our athletes. We lost alot more than just a guy that walked out on a softball field and ran his program like the Marine Corp. Which alot of people didn't approve of. Personally I thought is was good for the kids.

So I think 90% of the blame for this deal with Mr. Bolick can be put on the Alexander County Administration for the way this whole softball deal has been handled. Someone isn't dong their job. I will remember this when School Board Elections come back around. How long is it going to take to straighten the mess up, is what I want to know?

Mr. Bolick Good Luck to you.

No, CFball I have no daughter that plays. However I do have children in the Alexander County School system and this kind of school management really concerns me. I am going to really keep a close eye on how this is handled. I am already wondering why it hasn't been brought to the publics attention as far as being put in the local newspaper. If it would have been the preacher down the road it would have been all over the paper.

oh i know as i have seen this stuff happening in Alexander County back before they ran Monte off. He and i know that for the most part, its the school board and the politicans who have handcuffed the whole county will change when the people there Demand it! This has been going on for 4 or 5 years before the departure of Coach. Until then..................stuff like this will contiune and i hope and pray for it to change for the best real soon. I truly love the players and parents of AC and They deserve better things for themselves. Keep us posted, good luck and get out and Vote!

I wasn't a big Sherrill supporter but at least he had the players respect. Just had talk with my daughter and don't think with all this from the start that Bolick won't have this. Also after talking to some friends this week I would now like to know who brought this guy in. He has only been coaching at any level for about a year and at that only as a third assistant never as a head coach. Also found out that he had more problems at South Caldwell than many of us knew and it was not all with just alcohol. We need to get our program back on track and this is not a good start. the jokes are already starting. Heard today that AC used to have the Clash of Champions now we have the Budwiser Invitational and that instead of the umps checking uor equipment here before the games they were going to check our teams water coolers. Not the program I want my daughter associated with. I don't know why we had to go to Caldwell County to find a coach when we have always had better in Alexander. Just look at the middle school programs.

Just a friendly reminder of how far in the conference and playoffs AC took itself last season...To have the finest coaches that can only be found in Alexander County, they seemingly failed to go very far..This is just an observation, but I think it was South Caldwell who showed them how to lose on their home turf last season...What a dissappointment it must have been. I send my regards to all Alexander County coaches, just as SCHS did last year...

    Good Luck This Season...

Yes let's talk about how far AC took itself last season. 14 year conference title streak ended. 14 years winning 23 games or more done, 14 years making at least the second round of the playoffs over. In fact AC didn't even make the playoffs in Softball last year. Sorry but those are the facts
