Heard Warren would possibly be named EB head coach. Also heard from some players that Biggs hasn't made up his mind yet.

The hiring of coach Biggerstaff should be made public and official after the school board reconvenes Monday evening. I think he has made up his mind and he is already rounding up his staff for WC. Biggs work will not be an easy job however since tha discipline at WC has gotten out of control. They'res a lot to be turned around. I think John Mackey, Harold Warren and maybe even Bob Brown will re-join Mike at WC where they all started together. I think Kyle Dunn will be back at WC and former Washington Redskin Dean Hamel will also be a part of Biggs staff. From what I was told Wayne Fletcher would be offered the job again at EB.

Don't Dunn and Hamel both coach the defensive line position? It would be kind of difficult with two people coaching one position wouldn't it? It sounds like the majority of coaches who have coached at WC over the last couple of years will not be part of Bigg's staff and that's a shame. There were some good coaches on that staff over the last couple of years that I think were pretty darn good. I think the LB coach did a good job with the defense and could continue to help the team. I also think that the O-Line coach did a good job considering what he had to work with. I'd also like to see them bring Haas Moore back if possible. Those guys, Dunn and Hamel would be the only one's I'd bring back. The rest were there as window dressing so to speak. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I think Dunn would be defensive co-ordinater and hamel defensive line coach. A lot of these guys would flourish under Biggs system! He's a stern Disciplinarian and is strong on fundementals and conditioning,,,... West Caldwells biggest weakness over the past few years has been a lack of discipline and poor fundementals in the basics such as blocking and tackling... The weight program needs to be beefed up also... Styron didn't have any leadership qualities nor his ability to put the kids in the right positions and some underclassmen who were actually better than some of the seniors who saw more playing time... Coach Big will put the best on the feild! they will be disciplined, well-conditioned and fundamentally sound and will make tackles and Block!

I talked to a friend of mine around an hour ago that is close to coach Dunn and he told me that Dunn will not be coaching football anytime soon. Says he's content with just coaching wrestling and spending lots of quality time with his family. As I said before, I'd like to see the LB coach and the O-Line coach back as well because I feel like they have both done a good job at the school. I hope one thing that they will do is hire a seperate JV staff. I think they really need that.

I haven't heard that he is staying at EB, however, I have heard that he wants to come to WC but the school is way off where the $$$$$$$ is concerned. JYD says that's not an issue, but I keep hearing that from a lot of people from within the schools administration who say it would be a done deal if BIGG would agree. According to my sources the school can only offer him a salary with stipends for coaching that will pay him somewhere around $15,000 less than what he's getting at EB. From what I hear the boosters at EB kick in that additional cash. From what I hear Principal Burton told BIGG that the WC boosters didn't have the "means" to pay him anything extra and the he couldn't justify it if they did.
This process is getting drawn out. If the administration drags its heels for too long they are going to screw themselves out of hiring a proven very good coach. I know for a fact that this process has been going on since well before the football season ended. One thing Bigg should be aware of is that Principal Chris Burton is as dirty and back stabbing as they come. He was in negotiations with BIGG before he even let Styron go. BIGG is no fool and about as seasoned as they come. I think the cash can be an issue, but perhaps BIGG is seeing what a jerk this Burton is and wants nothing to do with him. BIGG is far too intelligent to get involved with a conniving guy like Burton.
Here's another reason I question whether he's coming. If BIGG were to have taken the job he'd have to start work this coming monday. If that were so, the school would have announced by now. I don't know what the heck is going on, but I wish someone would say something.

I don't think The coach is going to stand there and lie about it, He has been saying he hasn't made up his mind yet, Then last night at the South gamne he said I am not leaving East Burke. I tend to believe him more than this board.
