    I thought that it was pretty common knowledge that the girls BBall coach was retiring at the end of the school year?????????? I see your point about how that could upset the girls strong campaign. My apologies! Aside from that all I can tell you is what I've heard. Sure, there is a possibility that some of this information is not correct and perhaps embellished. However, my sources are pretty good and they were correct about the $$$$$$ not being what Biggerstaff needed to leave EB for WC. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But hey, don't kill the messenger.

    Hulkie loves to get things stirred up on here and he's not even a warrior! David Elder is not even in consideration for the the job but I heard Richard Grissom of 1-A state champion and perrenial power Elkin was at the school and from what I hear this would be a great fit for it is known his Elkin squads have always been overacheivers....

    Hulkie, Don't get me started on you again!

    I'm not looking to argue. I'm just sharing the information that I have heard from others. So, quit trying to start shit. That crap got old too quick.
    I know nothing about the guy from Elkin. They have been pretty successful so that could be a match. One other name that I heard was Randy Baldwin. What's you guys thoughts on him?
    Don't be so quick to dismiss Dave Elder. I know you e mailed Burton, but he's shown his true colors and cannot be trusted.

    Well I hope they are smart enough to not even consider Randy Baldwin, I don't think that would be a good choice. Some people may think Dave Elder would be good but i'm not one of them. :hammer:

    From the information I got is Elder is not even in consideration and a lot of that stands from his stint with the warriors as their Head coach in 1978 and 1979 where he went 8-12 in two seasons and also his prior lack of success at Old Lenoir High. Elder became a better coach in his days at Hickory but his work ethics decreased in his final years there. His age is also a factor... Hulkie , you need to stop pulling games off the top of your head... I hope the warriors go after Grissom and when you look at what he has done with that small school in Elkin his credentials are amazing.

    WHY???

    WHY WOULD GRISSOM LEAVE ELKIN? HE IS 32-0 IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, WITH TWO STATE TITLES. PRETTY IMPRESSIVE FOR THE FOLKS OVER THERE. THEY MAY NAME THE DAMN STADIUM AFTER HIM. I SEE ELKIN MATCHING ANYTHING WC HAS TO OFFER. JUST MY OPINION.

    WHY NOT GO AFTER ONE OF HIS ASST. COACHES. WHO IS THE DC OVER THERE? (ELKIN) IF THEY ARE 32-0 SOMEBODY MUST BE DOING A HELL OF A JOB COACHING THE DEFENSE. WHY NOT TRY THE DC OR OC? JUST A THOUGHT.

    Everything you say about Coach Harper is true and then some. He is a great guy and a great coach. WC would be fortunate to have him.

    Where exactly are you hearing this. I've heard several names, but coach Harpers hasn't been one of them. We'll have to see.
