We have played on both of those fields and you are absolutely correct. A great bunch of parents involved with both of those programs. We have the same situation with our group.

You have to be absolutely amazed that just enough snow to cover your golf ball will shut down an entire state......... :reb:

    NC,

It is certainly different - but my little one is as happy about it as can be.
And actually - I went to put the garbage out today and realized - I should have worn ice skates. LOL

Chet Greeson at East Meck has turned his field into one of the best in the city with little Booster money...just hard work from Chet and Steve Buchanan

    Hey Everyone,
It has been awhile since I have been able to have some down time to post, but I have a few minutes thanks to wireless internet up here and getting out of class twenty minutes early from taking a test.

Yesterday was our second official team practice, however it was the first day that we could be on the field due to snow. We pulled the tarp off two days ago, so we were able to have a near-perfect infield for practice. The outfield however was a different story. It was cover in snow and ice, but thanks to our cleats we were able to break it up some and take field batting practice with rubber balls. Coach Fox and the coaching staff made sure that we didnt miss a beat yesterday. We had our usual 4 plus hour practice jam packed with situations, mass fungo, field BP, lifting, agililty work, conditioning, and oh yeah...shoveling lots of snow.

It was awesome to finally have baseball practice and be done with only lifting and conditioning. It isn't too cold up here, but there is plenty of ice/snow left on the ground. Not too long 'til both high schools and colleges open up (some colleges already have) and we do not have time to miss a beat while our competitors in Florida, Arizona and California have sunshine and 80 degree weather.

I figured that I would use this opportunity to say hello and give everyone a brief summary of what was going on up this way. Hope everyone is doing well and that our rumor of snow/mix next Monday and Tuesday is not true, cause no matter what hits, we'll be out there.
