    "Gus" in Asheville didn't see his shadow yesterday so spring is just around the corner in the mountains. We don't recognize northern groudhogs.

    "Queen Charlotte" - at the Charlotte Nature Museum didn't see her shadow either - which supposedly means an early spring (that and the fact that it was cloudy in Charlotte yesterday afternoon). I think Queen Charlotte's revelation should outspeak Phil - I don't like northern groundhogs either. That and the fact that I have bad memories of last year's high school season getting off to a really rainy and cool start.
