Well to be truthful.. i did notice one of the very early poles had AL Brown in the 5th position and ragsdale wasnt even listed ... That doesnt bother me a bit though.
What is funny is the fact that they offer PRE-SEASON poles for a bunch of teenagers that havent had a ligitimate or official practice in 2004 yet.
    Its fun to read ..
    btw
I take anything IMPACT does with a grain of salt since i got banned from his paid website and never publicly posted anything i saw or read there.

I know the poll you're referring to ... I also know the voters (all 1 of them ... me).

I have a lot of respect for AL Brown. I think they will give West Rowan a run for their money this season. The reason West (and others) are up there is a combination of:

    1) Who is returning
    2) Who they lost
    3) How they did
    4) What kind of development did they see in the players over the summer/fall

That's why Glenn dropped out. They are historically very tough and put together a quality program year after year, but they just lost too much from last year to be included.

I kinda would like to see AL Brown kept under wraps for the time being. They only lost 3 starters , one was key to the offense , the other 2 were good but did nothing that cant be replaced.

Brett Bartles (Duke) at SS , P
    Andrew Mead , P , OF , IF
    Ryan Query C
Garret Sherrill P , IF OF
    Jeremiah Worthington OF
    Eddie Boger IF
    Austin Carithers P, 1B
    Jimmy Gonzalez P,OF
    Robert Bowers P,1B , OF

some did camps , some played summer and or fall baseball.. some did private workouts with trainers , some played football and basketball , and i imagine some played MLB 2003 or whatever game is popular these days.
I think WR has potential to win the 3A title , and i also believe AL Brown has potential to go rather deep in the playoffs also..
I liked your pole BETTER though, but it doesnt matter .
when these kids can remember what the coach says from one day to the next or at least relay things to the parents that the coach or staff says i might start looking closer at the poles . until then who knows what kid will show up to play each day. But poles are still funny

I thought I would add this: I met Brett Bartles parents this weekend at Elon. Although I have never met Brett, personally, I'm sure he is just like his parents....very nice people that have raised a very bright son. #1 in his class, if I'm not mistaken....of course he will be attending Duke, just like Brav..er.. where Braves wanted to go :)

I talked to Brett for about an hour at Elon. Braves is 100% correct. He's Very bright, articulate, and personable. All that and a great baseball player too......what a combination. I happen to know that both Carl and Nancy are very proud of him. It was a real pleasure and a real treat to get to spend the time with him. Good luck to Brett in all his future indevers.

I'm surprised Ragsdale didn't drop further. They lost some serious talent with Whited, Gorrod, Kunta Hicks and Wes Wrenn moving on.

They will have some good players returning of course but not sure how much new talent they will have coming in.

I'm still a greenhorn to all this prep baseball stuff.
