Jere Morton (JM15) picked up his first COLLEGE VICTORY on the mound yesterday when he came into the game in the top of the 11th inning, held his opponent scoreless and then LCC STOLE HOME in the bottom of the inning for the game winning score. The final score was 12-11, LCC over Mt. Olive.

Way to go Jere!!!!!!! We are proud of ya man.

As Jere said "College Baseball is wild, to say the least."

    I appreciate it, thanks.

Congratulations to the other guys on this board, I look forward to keeping up with everyone this spring and summer. This is a great place to get information on the High School guys, and I hope it will serve as a place to keep up with the college teams as well.

Adam McLaurin had his debut, (FR., from Fuquay) pitched 1 inning in NCSU's win over Elon yesterday, getting 2 K's and a pop-up. (Had to throw the Wolfpack in there...)

Kelly Stracke (FR., from Athens Drive) is Barton College's #1 starter and picked up a win yesterday.

    By the way............
Jon Willard (Green Hope HS), now at Chipola College, hit a three-run homerun a couple days ago. He transferred to Chipola from South Carolina after the fall semester.

Funny you mentioned that, Jere, about a college forum. Once we change our server tomorrow, we will be on a brand new server...that will be bigger and badder:) Once we change we are going to add a College baseball forum to keep up with all the outstanding NC boys all over

Hi all. Just back from Columbia, SC with the real story.
Arik's first college pitch is one that he will always remember (and I was watching the guns so only heard the ping from Matt Sutton's left hand bat who had faced Arik many times before and was setting dead red fastball ) 90 MPH FB low and outside ping over the fence in left field at 110 MPH. It is something that happens to all of them sometime, however, the coaching staff did not talk as much about the home run as coming back with quality pitches to get out of the inning. So for those of you out there reading this the point is to suck it up and go on believing in yourself and throw strikes.
