The one thing I have always heard is "Hustle on and off the Field" or "there's no walking on the baseball field". Of course, there is always the saying "there's no crying in baseball"

    True story:

At last year's Easter Tournament, hosted at Ashbrook, I was watching the parking gate that was clearly posted with a large sign the read: "Parking for Handicapped, Media, Coaches". A man, dressed in "blue", pulled up to the gate and asked, "Is this the parking for handicapped?" I replied, "Yes." He said, "Good, cause I'm blind!"

Even the umps sometimes have a sense of humor!

I guess the next logical question is.." did he call a good game?"

another true story out of Ashbrook(not funny though)

the person who was attending the gate for both a softball and baseball games (great atmosphere) was truely a nice guy..........by informing a guest, who was attempting slowly to watch the softball game, that with his leg injury (knee surgery), his group could park with handicapped, media, coaches area. This person went out of his way and its great to have people like that greeting fans to their hs. :applause: out to Ashbrook too for having this person on own their staff!

didnt mean to stale this thread but thought this is worthy and an example of a class hs program(s) with outstanding individuals.
