Chelsea Elmore (2007) South Point HS - Starting Catcher, SS, relief pitcher for starting pitcher, Sophomore - Rachel Stowe. Leads off, fast, smart base runner, good power and hits from both sides. Knows and understands the game. 300+ games of travel ball experience.

Rachel Stowe – (2006) South Point HS – Strong, smart starting Pitcher. Very versatile as a fielder, can play any infield/outfield postion well. Has good power and can hit the long ball.

 

Players to watch

Ashton Ward, Ms Hill and Sara Rappe are all Freshman, Emily Jeffrey and Brittany Blanton are sophmores and Britt Cantrell is a junior.

Players to watch

North Davidson's Freshman pitcher Danielle Glosson struck out 15 of 17 batters she faced in a 5 inning game against Ledford. She pitched an 11-0 no hitter in North Davidson's season opener. Glosson is a transfer from West Forsyth.

remember heard about this earlier in the preseason and some bad blood popped up here at TBR but both programs are solid and well coached..........it happens all over NC/SC!

did you see her pitch during this game or is this a "special" player, Comet, lessons or family .....COMETFan?

note: props for CometFan, some of you will know this and others will not know what i am talking about .....CometFan deserves another Standing Ovation for being the 2003 NSA Softball's Fan/Supporter of the Year and is keeping a close eye on NC Softball! :applause: When you have the opportunity to meet him, watch a game with him and exchange information on players, teams, college or rec, you will see!!! Please thank him for his committment, dedication and teaching his siblings the love of competition and lucky it was Softball........but dont let that grandfatherly -look(handsomely so), fool you! Stay on your toes players, you never know who is watching and why! (sounds like a nice signature??)

oh yeah, that's the good player that transferred from the South Point area to play for Ashbrook. I'm anxious to see her play and see how good she is.

 

Thanks CFBall, I didn't see the game, but a friend did and passed the info on to me. Also Glosson pitched another no hitter last Friday against West Davidson. I was told that she is also a good hitter, going 3 for 3 in their game against Ledford. I plan on being at a North Davidson game soon. Looks like Mike Lambros has a team that will be in playoffs again this year and possibly make the trip to Raleigh. I will keep an eye on this team.
