    Announced on Impact today:

Morgan Tyson, Piedmont HS (LHP) has committed to Louisburg
Adam DeLeo, Hoggard HS (C) has committed to UNC-G
Garrett Tyndall, Triton HS (LHP)has committed to Pitt CC

Congrats to all these guys. I've seen Morgan and Adam extensively in the past. I got to see Garrett up at the Impact Pre-season showcase. Each of these teams are very lucky to get such quality players.

Congrats to all, but a special "shout out" to one of the all-time great kids that I know...Morgan Tyson... and the Tyson family. If they had an "all star families"...they would top the list.

I am blushing over here Braves. Thanks for your kind words. He has had the great fortune to be surrounded by awesome people (coaches, teammates, and parents) at both On-Deck and at Piedmont. Neither group will let him settle for anything but his best. Morgan is looking forward to continuing his career at Louisburg and is thankful for the opportunity. Congrats to Garrett and Adam as well!!!

On a personal note (because dadgummit I share a large percentage of the same DNA and am allowed to be personal :xyzthumbs ), I am more proud of what Morgan has done academically moreso than athletically. He was told at an early age what he wouldn't be able to do but neither he nor his parents (and his brother I would like to add) would accept that. Now, what he was told he wouldn't be able to do is exactly what he will do in a couple of months and he will go farther than that beginning at Louisburg!!! Sometimes, the biggest battles aren't won on a diamond!!!

You failed to add what a nice kid he is. That's a credit to you guys because kids don't get that way by accident. Best of luck to Morgan. We'll be watching for him to do great things.
