    Charles B. Aycock

CBA hosted South Central in the battle for the position of 1st place. Both teams went into the game tonight unbeaten but only one left still holding the title. The first inning was the best inning for the South Central Falcons, one of the only innings they got runners on. Brittani Edgerton made an awesome throw from center to home w/ April Vick putting the tag on a SC runner. The Charles B. Aycock Golden Falcons were hitting the ball with very-very few strike-outs, but most of the ladies got robbed. The SC Falcons were putting up quite a fight for this being their first year as a varsity team. Defense was great for both teams, but in the 6th inning CBA's Jackie Schmidt got on first base and Kandace Burroughs knocked her in with a double. The only run of the game. Charles B. Aycock continues with their season with a record of 9-0 and 5-0 in conference.

    CBA- 1
    SC- 0

Quite an amazing and intense game, I thought it called for a longer summary.

I forgot to include that Jenny Jackson was the winning pitcher.

I feel that I did my job, lol. I stood my ground at short stop w/ not a single ball coming to me. My bat wasn't the greatest, but I feel I did alright since I didn't strike out and Jessie Odem is supposed to be one of the top notch pitchers. I flied out to center field and hit the ball w/ the end of my bat sending it back to the pitcher. I feel that we would have had some awesome hits if South Central wasn't playing such smart defense in the outfield... lol, what I mean is they were playing pretty far back which robbed Jenny Jackson, Kandace Burroughs, and a few other power hitters quite a few times.

She likes to throw a lot of junk, and last night she threw a lot of high and outside pitches. She wasn't very effective last night because she struck out very few, next none in our game. For the teams who go up against her watch out for a high change up, be ready for it and you can take it out of the park.

At the "Next Level" I plan on majoring in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry... I might make my decision at being a pharmacist.

I have a correction to make on my report... CBA is 9-0 overall and 5-0 in conference. I believe I said that we were 4-0.

And I have the pitching stats. Jenny Jackson had a total of 11 strikeouts and Jessie Odom had 1. Don't put it past this girl, because she can pitch and will put it to any team she comes to.

Hopefully this will help w/ some of the Eastern NC coverage, but this is all I know.
    Standings for our Conference:

    Conf. Overall
    CBA 5-0 9-0
    South Central 6-1 8-1
    Washington 3-1 5-1
    Kinston 2-2 4-3
    E. Wayne 2-3 3-4
    So. Wayne 2-3 4-4
    W. Carteret 1-4 3-7
    West Carteret 0-5 0-8
