    Sounds like softballq needs to quit hiding behind pm's to you and come out and play with the big boys...lol....or maybe you just need to paste some of her pm's to you here...Then we can all enjoy her humor....

    I haven't heard anything about the Owen softball team. It seems that they have rescheduled alot of their games. Also, if they have played, I haven't seen any of their scores. Does anyone know how their doing?

    Owen has rescheduled a lot of games. When they get back to school they will be playing atleast 3 games a week. They are currently 4-1 in conference play (losing to West Henderson 4-2 on March 25). I'm not surprised that you haven't heard anything...they haven't been playing. NC Ihigh only has 2 games on the schedule :thinking: Go Figure!!!

    not that at all.........she enjoys reading all our TBR Softball humor and the softball stuff too

    cut and paste is not my strong feature plus i like her too

    Buncombe County is out on spring break. I believe Franklin is out as well. You will see everybody kick back in on monday or tuesday of this week.

    I heard that their top pitcher, after Sarah's departure, had broken a finger. You're suppose to schedule a cancelled conference game on the next available day. I personally don't feel it's right for them not to be playing. They rescheduled Pisgah from 4-2-04 to 4-24-04 or something like that. It doesn't seem right to me. I hope the weather agrees with all of those rescheduled games. They may have problems finishing their schedule.

    I haven't heard anything about their pitcher breaking their finger. April 2 was the last day of school before spring break and I believe they had a school function. Everybody's schedule with Pisgah and West taking spring break the week of 11th and back the week of April 18th, I doubt if there is or was an opportunity to play before then. With teams in the same conference taking different weeks for spring break this really causes problems with scheduling makeup games.

    The pitcher I believe you're speaking about is Shelby English(soph). She took a screwball to the pitching hand, while batting, in the game against St Stephens on March 5th. Her finger was not broken just smashed and very (still) swollen. She didn't pitch for 2 1/2 weeks and only threw twice before facing West Henderson on March 25th. The rest (majority) of the games have been pitched by Mallory Padgett(junior). As for the rescheduling of conference games I don't know; I'm just one of the parents. :dunce:

    Sorry to hear about Shelby. I hopes she heals soon.
    I also heard that the JV pitcher for Franklin was hit in the knee cap by a batted ball. Does anyone know how she is doing?
