We faced Ketner twice already this season and were fortunate enough to gain a split with NWC. It took a one out homer in the bottom of the seventh for us to garner a tie in the first game and we got to their lefty in the home half of the eighth. Ketner shut us down both times though. He has real good stuff.

NWC has a good chance of winning this tournament again.
It would be nice to have a Kannapolis / NWC final again , but i dont see that happening...
I will say it again as i said last year, Justin Thompson is the real deal.

I will definitely be there,,,,,,, but with all this rain, I hope we can still use Fieldcrest Stadium. The infield's under tarp, but the outfield SURE IS WET and getting wetter by the minute!!!

I'm afraid a "plan B" site may be announced soon for Wednesday's games.

Kannapolis can get to the finals just by pitching alone. Andrew Mead as threw 3 straight shut outs of 3 hits or less and Kannapolis always has a chance to win if Sherrill is on the mound. So its just a matter of hitting the ball for the wonders.

Kannapbaseball, I definitely agree that the Wonders are especially strong for 2 games with Sherrill/Mead pitching. However,(and you even said this too) the only question about the Wonders right now is where has your hitting been this year??? Theres no doubt the Wonders have some very good hitters, and whenever you guys EVER FINALLY breakout, then you are going to start winning a lot of ballgames. Maybe your hitting will begin with this tournament.

I just think Central Cabarrus plays with the most consistency as far as executing, making routine defensive plays and hitting. CC may not have the strongest team and they may not be flashy,,,, but they are a very solid team who does not beat themselves.

After everything that I've been hearing the past couple days at the ballpark, I can't wait to see this West Stanly team. Sounds like WS is the real deal. I've been told that WS might even beat my CC boys in the 2nd round. :teeth:
