Ashbrook Tragedy - Devin Harris

    Wes just called from Ashbrook to inform me that Devin Harris' mother was found dead of a massive heartattack at home this morning!

    The baseball team is being allowed to leave school, three at a time, to go to Devin's home to offer their condolances and support for Devin and his dad.

    Devin ('06) is Ashbrook's starting rightfielder.

    Please join with me in praying for Devin and his father, John, in this unexpected tragedy.

    My prayers are with him and all of his family. So sad to hear of this kind of stuff.

    I am so sorry to hear this tragic news. My prayers go out to Devin and his family...as well as the Ashbrook extended family...may God bless

    Thank you to all from the Harris family and Ashbrook friends. All of Devin's teammates left immediately after last night's game and carried the tournament championship trophy to Devin. They had dedicated the game to him and his family.

    Ironically, Devin's Mom had stayed up after Ashbrook's game on Wednesday evening to wash clothes, including Devin's uniform, so that it would be clean for last night's game. She was found, still in the laundry room.

    Young men, who participate on this board, you better appreciate all of the "stuff" your Mom's (and Dad's) do for you. Don't take that clean uniform or bottle of Gatorade for granted! Give 'em a hug every chance you get, because you don't have any garantees for the next time.
