    Independence 12 Watauga 1 (5 innings)

Independence wins their first round game. They hit throughout the line up and Robby Bray gave up four hits to move to 12-0 on the season. Greene, a very good player for Watagua scored their only run.

    South Meck- 8
    South Caldwell- 7

In a sloppily played game, the Sabres committed 8 errors, SM had a 8-3 lead going into the 6th inning only to see South Caldwell fight back. Russell Reid for SC pitched a whale of a game....he deserved better support, but gave a key 3 run HR to Kyle Shelton to allow SM to take the lead and they never gave it up.

SM did not play well at all and need to get back on track quick because their next game is against the #4 team in the State...Independence.
