Has it really been 11 summers since you started playing ball?
    Seems like yesterday
Watching you blossom from little leaguers to the players and young women you are today, I couldnt ask for a better life.
Some of you are playing your last games over the course of the next few weeks.
May the lessons you have learned on the ballfield serve you well in the years to come
To those we have played against, watched, cried with, celebrated with, learned from, and tried to the best of my ability to teach over these too few years, it has been a privelege and a great honor.
I only hope that what I have tried my best to do has been in your best interests. You all have enriched my life beyond words.
Brittany U., Lucy, Brittany S., Nellie, the Pisgah infield, and all the others who have been a part of Amy's and through her my softball life, I thank you, and I will miss you

as coaches of these young ladies.....sometimes i think our demands on them, our challenges to them and our discpline for them can be misconstrued as not caring, not "today's way" but in point of fact.............
its caring to the highest degree. i just wish all players, parents and fans of the game could understand this too!
Enjoy the summer guys with your class '04 players and cherish every minute, as i know you will!! :D

Very well put Kevin. As I paced around the field during the game tonight, I watched a group of young ladies that have matured from 8 year old girls missing their front teeth into the beautiful people they are today. The lessons they have learned on the field and from the people that have played such a strong roll in their lives will serve them well for the rest of their lives. The lessons they have taught us are serving us already and will be remembered for the rest of our lives. The friendships that have been made over the last 10 years through school and summer ball are truly irreplaceable. From a parents / coaches perspective I cannot explain the enjoyment these young ladies have brought into our lives. Thank you for all the memories.

Kevin and Guys, those were wonderful expressions of sincere love for the players, the game and what is of utmost importance. We have shared many wonderful times learning, growing, and maturing with our girls. The friendships we have made over the years are priceless, and I have no doubt that they won't continue. Girls, you have brightened many many days for me. I love you all and look forward to watching many of you play at the next level. Dream the dream, accept the challenge life has to offer and set out to reach the goal.....I have to stop now because these ARE tears hitting my keyboard..... Susan :1luvu: :1luvu: :1luvu:

    Some words of wisdom

At the end of my last high school game at Rosman, my mother pulled me aside and told me these words:

"This may be your last high school game, but it is not your last game forever."

So for all you girls (seniors or not) who play summer ball and/or are going off to collge to play, I wish you the best of luck. I hope you take my mom's words to heart--I know I did. :)
