    It looks as if the Pineville-Taylorsville game is a victim of a delayed start of the Legion season b/c of Alexander Central's appearance in the state playoffs. It would've been a good game.

    I plan to be there at East Henderson tomorrow to watch Taylorsville-Hendersonville. I live within walking distance of East in East Flat Rock. Gotta see Bryan Corbett again!

    Taylorsville vs. Burke

    Well it was good to see that Post 170 got in the win column on Sat. I knew the team had to win sometime with all the talent and potential that they have. They have been kind of short maned the first few games because of players being at the beach.

    Now about the game:
    Bryan Corbett pitched an outstanding 8 1/3 innings before giving way to Jordan Hefner who got the last 2 outs. I believe Corbett gave up only 3 or 4 hits and had about 7 or 8 strikeouts. Corbett had a hot bat too going 3 for 4. Kelly McLain also hit the ball well and had 2 RBI's. Jordan Clary also came through with 2 clutch RBI's.

    If Post 170 gets hot watch out

    Last night's game against Hendersonville was called off due to a monsoon...it has been rescheduled for tonight at Bob Gryder Stadium at 7.
