I made a prediction earlier this season and my predictions turned out to be on the money. I think the following facts support my opinion. Playoffs Records and highest finisher in the conference.
    1. MECA - 6-2, State Champion
    2. Central Peidmont - 6-3, 3rd in State
    3. Southwestern - 3-3, 3rd Round of playoffs
    4. Northwestern - 1-3, 2nd Round of playoffs

Great Job to all.. :applause: :applause: :applause: :xyzthumbs

Nice job. Now go out on a limb and predict how these conferences will fare in 2005. Or at least take a shot at the top 5 4A teams.

    OK

    Top 5,,, right.

    1. Central Cabarrus
    2. Butler
    3. West Forsyth
    4. North Davidson
    5. North Mecklenburg

Write it down and bring it back to me next year. That really was not a hard question. The named teams will win over 80% of their games, only losing to each other and one will be the State Champion. All are good teams, but some will under achieve in the end. If coaching comes into play, my picks are North and Central. Talent wise - All are very good. :xyzthumbs

Not a bad top 5 at all. Which North are you speaking of? I know north davidson lost some quality seniors, but they should be OK. West Fosyth has all 9 starters returning plus there could be an interesting transfer coming to W. Forsyth.

Nice job with your picks 65. You can tell you study the game of softball very carefully. Also about the interesting transfer. Can you say Molly "oops" she could be trading one West uniform for another. Words out in all the parks. How ironic since West F. has always talked about transfers in a different way.

    Unfair Comparison

Hold on a minute. :nono: There is nothing wrong with a transfer if it's legal, meaning the family actually moves and lives in the new school district. Plus I know Forsyth county accepts tuition transfers while davidson county does not. Enough said.

Athletics is a wonderful and a key part of the educational process for our young students!

just nice to have choices on who and where this can sucessfully be accomplished within the rules.......of course.

First of all Homer 3 no one said anything about Davidson county. There again you assume. I really don't care where kids go. I agree with CFBall you should have freedom of choice. That's why there are so many places to buy stuff. You feel awfully defensive for some reason. Changing schools is fine but it is still changing schools for what ever reason. You want hear anything more out of this because you still have to play the game. Excepting outside tuition is nice, but it is still a nice loop hole. But while you are on it Davidson County does accept it when there schools are not over crowded. It just seems funny that now you are defending this and were pretty upset at one time. Enough said!

    Simmer Down Sporty!

First of all the only thing I am defending is transferring within the rules. If a student athlete transfers to another school for whatever reason, they certainly have the right to do so. Just don't circumvent the rules with some phony documents and don't continue to live in the house in the old school district. Why would anyone be upset with that?

The only reason Davidson co. was brought up was I think there was a simlialr issue with a player at a davidson co. school this season and I was just making point. Also, I think you're mistaken on the tuition transfer option in Davidson co.

What place did East Davidson, Central Davidson and n. davidson finish in the state playoffs? I know they all had good years.

East Davidson finished 3rd in the 2-A state

Central Davidson lost to West Stanley in the first round.

North lost to West Forsyth in the semi finals of the western region.(North had beaten West twice during regular season and once in the conf. finals).
