Way to go Southern Explosion, did not get to see U play very much but U surely played well to get to the final 16. I think we had three NC teams to make the final 16 but could be wrong. Emily, U are all over it girl! The Blues played awesome and I am so proud. Also, thanks to the Challengers for supporting us on Sunday! They played very well and some of them were nice enough to come sit in the 100 degree heat as we played the Ga Mavericks. Great turnout of college coaches 102 signed in and several were still there on Sunday afternoon. Kaki runs a great tournament and really brings the coaches to see the kids. Congrads to the Ga Fire and Ice for winning the tourney, they were an awesome team, maybe the best we have played in a couple years. NC teams were abundant in the final 33, our state is moving on up! :applause:

Congrats to the Rockets ! The Curve Gold was hoping to see you again on Sunday but ran out of gas ! You guy's have a great team and organization. The 1-0 game was very exciting ! Hope to see you folks again. Good luck the rest of the year.

Smokey Mountain Flames 16u win USSSA Southern Invitational in Chattanooga 10 teams. They beat the Georgia Lightning for the title.:xyzthumbs

 

I don't know who this homer is, probably some passerby, but I do know the stars coach and after the game, he was very positive about the dazzle. he said the dazzle was able to get the key hits and deserved to win the game. The plays at the plate were just the way you play the game. He also said everything the dazzle did to delay the game was within the rules and he undersood why it was done. Nothing negative from the coach or team was ever said about the opposing team.:xyzthumbs

Thanks Lblues1, way to go... :applause: I know you were playing well as a team and to make it to the championship game is incredible. Our first experience down there and it was very positive for us. Our players were intimidated initially by the size of the players and just how fast the game is played at this level. They finally figured out they could hang and fought the rest of the way...100 degree weather is a killer. Especially for us mountain people....its 78 here today...
