Yeah, go figure but...the broken arm is not Morris' throwing arm. What a disappointment for Stanford! Hope that Morris heals up in time to benefit the Pineville Post 337 legion team a little?!? But, you know what they always say...everything always happens for a reason, right?!?

Perfect time for me to make a comment about Brandon Stanford. This is a young man that you root for. Brandon is not a "natural born" catcher. He looked around at all the positions at South Meck and concluded that the best chance he had to play was to learn the catcher's position. He worked very hard and made himself into a quality catcher....also, something that gets overlooked, when one just evaluates talent, is Brandon makes any team better. It's what he does on the field and in the dugout that makes him special...he is a great teammate.

His defensive skills are very good, but what makes Brandon stand out is the way he handles his pitchers. They are always on the same page. He knows when to stroke them and when to "get after" them. He will discuss with the pitcher after each inning what's working and what's not and to change their gameplan if needed. Brandon is not a "me' type player. He never complains ...all he wants to do is win! If he is not playing, he will be one of the loudest cheerleaders in the dugout. The kid is simply one of the best teammates that a team can have.

I'm sure the coaches looked at the catcher's position for Pineville as overloaded ( Northrup, Rollins, Snell and Glass) and felt that you can't have too many pitchers, but the type person that Brandon Stanford is....you can't help but root for him because this player makes a team a team.

I have a lot of respect for Coach Rummage. I find him to be one of the best baseball coaches at any level. I'm sure that his decision was based on what he felt his team needed. I'm cheering for the Pineville Post to go to the National Championship. They have a very talented team with some great kids and a wonderful coach to lead them.

Vocis continues to remark that he will not post in here and all information related to Pineville should be posted on his website. Fine..take your foul mouth to your own website and don't pollute mine. You have time after time spewed your dislike towards a thinly veiled HS coach on this board...alright, that's your opinion and I allowed it. But choosing to attack fellow members on this forum will not be allowed. I deleted his posts on this thread as they were attacking and mindless drivel.

Go play on your own site...you are not allowed here.
