OH, OK answer a question for me. How does the SWF3A conference POY not make the All-State team or HM but 3 others from this conference does. Is there not something wrong with that

OMG!!!!! Just looked a little closer at the list for 3A and saw that the SWF3A had 5 ( 3 All-state team, 2 HR) & the conference POY was not one of them. THAT HAS GOT TO BE THE BIGGEST FREAKIN JOKE!!!!! :shakehead :dunce: :sarcastic

First off....the POY was the biggest joke ever...not the all state team. Yes, the three that got it were good players, but come on the conference coaches for SWF3A don't know talent if it bit them. It was all political anyways...I mean 3 players--something is wrong already?! The all state team had over 300 voters not just 6 that took sides b/c some didn't like the other coaches involved so they ganged up and only voted for certain players. I mean one of the POY was a junior that had never even made ALL CONFERENCE!!!!! And there was a player that had signed with a division 1 school...all state and 4X all conference whose stats were way higher than hers?! again something wrong! I'm sure the POY that you are talking about probably atleast earned HM especially b/c of the two from KMT that got it and the player from Hickory. I'm not putting down anyone's talent here..but just a something for you to keep in mind for the future--the SWF3A conference coaches really truly as a whole have no idea what they're talking about or what they're voting for. The all state team for the most part is probably based on stats also and some of these players probably had remarkable stats. If who I think you are talking about.. then she is a freshman so she has 3 more years to receive all state. Last year the only player out of all the classes combined there was only one all state player and that was Gina Allen from CC and she definitley deserved it. Please do not think I'm putting down anyone or saying they didn't deserve something..just remember to not read to much into the awards on the conference level. It's a joke for the most part.

Bottom Line is which team wins there conference championship and goes 3 deep into the STATE 3a playoffs with a Freshman pitcher. Thats saying a lot for a team that is only losing one starter off this years team, and no starters for the next two years. All of the awards are nice but the bottom line is which team can come out standing on top for the RING. The ultimate award is winning it all, not some individual awards which really can be political at any level. Stats can be deceiving because you really dont know how strong of a schedule that a team or individual plays. As for the freshman that softball4ever may have been talking about her family is very appreciative for the awards that she did receive. She knows that all awards are earned through a good TEAM! See you on the field next year. :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1:

Took a very good look at the 3A all-state team, especially from the Gaston County area. If several of those players are all-state and HM......Its a joke and crying shame that Walker from Ashbrook and Mo from Kings Mt. aren't there. Yeah Walker is HM......but not HM material.....one of the best players in the area..... don't know of a coach that wouldn't love to have her. Then theres Mo....One of the best pitchers, if not the best in this area. Would be the #1 starter on ANY team in the area. Enough said, hope they weren't left off because they were freshman. When these 2 are finished with HS and are going on to play college ball some of these other huh ALL-STATERS will be walking of the field the last time after their last HS game.
