P.G. WWBA National Championships, East Cobb GA

there is a big tournament down in east cobb next weekend. the 17u plays july 6-11 and 18u plays july 12-18. what local teams will be attending and what are their rosters? any other thoughts or comments on the tourny would be great

 

This is a great tournament for a number of reasons.

1. Perfect Games is a first class organization. They run their own tourneys...providing their own umpires and are not affiliated with the East Cobb organization at all.

2. Many of the teams that were invited to play in the World Championship in Jupiter last fall will be there. And most of those teams will have their same players from the fall. Example: the Florida Bombers will have players on their roster that were drafted this spring.

3. Potentially, the National teams playing in East Cobb will be the strongest teams that you may play all year because those same teams will have a different roster in the fall. The National teams will be loaded with signed college players and drafted ones as well.

4. This event will be heavily scouted, but what makes it unique is the number of Pro scouts attending.

5. I know that the Megastar's and the On Deck O's will be attending...not sure who the rest from this region are participating

If you are participating at the PG games @ East Cobb be thankful that you were invited to play because you will be able to measure your talents against some of the best HS players in America

 

I don't know if any of the older Copperheads teams are attending these two events but August 4-8 East Cobb is hosting the Perfect Game WWBA National Championships for the 15U and the Carolina Copperheads 15U have been invited and are scheduled to attend.

What an impressive list...in terms of both the number of players from the area and the quality of players represented!!

Five years ago, we wouldn't have expected to see this level of turnout from this region for a national tournament such as the one coming up. It's tremendous to see players from the Carolinas competing at this level!!

No wonder that tournaments of that calibre bring the college recruiters and pro scouts out in droves!!

 

I think there is also a large Independence Contingent attending the 17U with the Megastars 1 & 2 but they haven't posted their rosters yet.

 

well i know brothers Robbie and Aaron Bray are playing with the Megastars Red along with some guys from christian and providence and north meck, if anyone knows their rosters, post them
