    Anyone here play Semi-pro ball?

I play in a 30 and over league here in Iowa and was curious if it as popular elsewhere as it is in the Midwest. Hit the crap out of the ball last year, but since I had to start pitching...my hitting has taken a dump. Part of the problem is there is no opportunity to practice during the week.

McFly, it is popular here. A very good friend of mine was playing in Roy Hobbs league in Charlotte, until he was transferred to Dallas. But they play every week and from the games I watched, competition is pretty good for a bunch of old farts. :laugh1:

I was asked to play a (Not with 2 kids though)few years ago and went and watched a few games. The old Farts -ex college and pro guys were awesome!
The team was called the Greensboro Golden Bats. I remember when they played the women's Coor's Light Silver Bullet team. The girls won!
