Coach Jerry Meyers, pitching coach for the past 8 years at USC has left to become the new head coach at ODU.

This is a big loss for USC but a great gain for ODU. ODU has been struggling over the past few years. Coach Meyers should turn that program around.

It will be difficult to replace a coach like Meyers down at USC. He had a great run there along with Coach Tanner.

Also just noticed in the Next Level forum that Chris Pollard from Pfeiffer University has been named head coach at Appalachain State. Also, any word on who will replace him?

That's a major snare for the program at ASU. Coach Pollard can turn that program around.

I hope Pollard can get his scholarships fully funded at ASU. Not a lot of support there historically for the baseball program. I wish him luck. A beautiful school to sell can be a great help.

Preliminary indication would be Coach Hayes (current assistant). The boys really love Hayes, he seems to interact with them much more than Pollard.

Budman, Coach Hayes intent (as it stands right now according to Coach Pollard) is to keep things the same. Coach Bost will still be the pitching coach and the other assistant (young guy, recent graduate whose name escapes me at this time of the morning) will work as assistant coach with Coach Bost.

I wish all of the staff at Pfeiffer the best!

I know Dusty well, and he is a great young man. Congratulations to him, and the best of luck.
