Chargers looked good! Crest outscored the Eagles 6TD's to 0 and had 3 others called back due to penalties. We added it up and on the 30 plays were East Meck got 10 plays per series they had a total of -3 yards of offense. When they got out the chains, East Meck had one first down off a Crest penalty. You can tell that the DB's need some work on reading a QB. There were a couple times they got caught with the WR behind them. Crest scored on the ground and in the air. Also the 2 back set with Littlejohn and Padgett was unreal.

A very good scrim for the Chargers. It was much more settled than this time last year when they were trying to find a QB.

Next up is a scrim. at Forestview Tuesday night. Word has it that on this night the Chargers will tangle with the Indy Patriots. Should be one heck of a challenge for the young DB's of the Chargers.

    I'm thinking 6:00.

People are now saying that Indy won't be there and it will be Parkwood with Butler and Forestview. The Forestview coaches are telling Coach Kirby Indy will be there. I guess Indy is just running scared from the Chargers. :xyzthumbs

Butler scored 3 times with 1 interception and Crest scored 2 with one interception. Both teams looked even.Crest was at the five when they turned the ball back. Was a good scrimmage for both teams. There was positives for both teams as well as a few negatives.Butler did a good job of keeping Crest's defense off balance going deep into the playbook whereas Crest was a lot more conservative on offense going mostly from a one back set from the shotgun. This was a good test for Crest young DB's and Butlers run defense. Both teams could have excellent seasons but still have some things to work on.I think Crest is far and away further along than last year after all the turmoil.Butler could be a serious title contender but need to improve on their run defense.Lets remember that these are scrimmages not games and that this is the time of the year when teams basically practice against each other :xyzthumbs
